Lighting & Lead Technicians
We're hiring. Experienced technicians and people starting out with a technical or mechanical background.
Since 1982, NLMS has provided lighting services nationwide to clients in retail, commercial, and industrial sectors. As we expand, we're looking for self-motivated, reliable technicians to join the team.
Lighting or electrical experience is a plus but not a requirement. A technical or mechanical background counts. We provide on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Available to travel for several weeks at a time — we service the entire country
- Valid driver's license, not suspended, revoked, or expired, with minimal violations
- Able to pass a drug test and criminal background check
- Dependable, trustworthy, professional
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Electrical knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Able to work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
- Able to lift 50+ pounds, stand for long periods, and work overhead
Duties
- Installation, repair, and replacement of lamps, ballasts, sockets, kits, and fixtures
- Troubleshooting lighting and electrical problems
- Operating lifts, ladders, and scaffolding safely
- Driving responsibly and maintaining the company vehicle
- Communicating with supervisors, project managers, office staff, and customers
- Adhering to schedules and deadlines
- Keeping accurate records of productivity, inventory, and expenses
